About

Hello!
Long before I became a therapist, I was a missionary kid growing up with a front-row seat to different cultures, communities, and ways of life. My childhood gave me a deep appreciation for people and their stories, but it also taught me something I would understand more fully as an adult: our experiences shape us. The places we've been, the relationships we've had, the hard things we've walked through, and the messages we've absorbed along the way can all influence how we see ourselves and navigate the world.I became a therapist to help people articulate and make sense of their stories, especially when those stories feel confusing or when the messages they've picked up about themselves and the world are keeping them from thriving. I want children, teens, and families to have the support and tools they need not only to make it through difficult seasons and experiences, but to grow stronger through them. I love helping people get beneath the surface of what they're experiencing, heal the places that hurt, understand themselves more fully, and develop practical skills for moving forward with greater confidence and resilience. My Christian faith is central to who I am and shapes the way I understand identity, purpose, hope, and healing. I offer Christ-centered therapy and programs for clients who want their faith to be an active part of the therapeutic process. My CredentialsI'm a Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor with graduate degrees in Counselor Education from the University of Florida. My background includes experience as a school-based therapist, school counselor, and educator, and I am also a certified children's yoga teacher. My work draws from evidence-informed approaches and incorporates practical tools, mindfulness, movement, and creative strategies based on the needs of each individual.Whether I'm sitting with a teenager who's trying to find her voice, helping a family through a difficult season, or teaching a room full of kindergartners how to recognize and regulate big emotions, my hope is much the same: to help people grow strong in who they are and better equipped for whatever life brings their way.Christy Darji, Ed.S., LMHC, RYT 200, RCYT
